Community Health Nursing laboratory helps the students to develop desirable knowledge and attitude on comprehensive care to the individual, family and community. The laboratory is equipped with community bags and articles for performing various procedures such as screening of diseases and care of minor ailments in urban and rural communities. The laboratory consist of models like ideal home, ideal village, different types of wells, latrines, methods of water purification etc. Family folders for home visits are maintained in the laboratory. Computer Lab provides a learning atmosphere to the students so they can acquaint themselves with the computer applications and skills. The computer lab is adequately equipped Computers fully functional with WI-FI facilities, a variety of software including Microsoft office, Anti-virus etc.
Faculty and students can browse the internet and access online books and e-journals. Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google chrome and Mozilla Firefox are available for access to the internet. Audio – Visual aids communicate the ideas regarding learning activities to the students is essay manner. Nutrition lab is a unique area for onsite demonstration, cooking and display of food. The subject nutrition is designed to assist the students to acquire knowledge for maintenance of optimum health, calculation of balance diet for different categories of people and its application for practice of nursing.
Under the guidance of qualified teacher, the students are taught to prepare therapeutic diets for normal individuals, pregnant women and also for those affected with various disorders. The nutrition lab is well established with all facilities including gas stoves, refrigerators and microwave, variety of articles and vessels for the development of skills in preparation of different food items are present
Pre clinical Science laboratory is designed to enable the students to acquire Knowledge of the Anatomical Structure& Functions, Biochemical Composition and its alteration of the Human Body Systems. This Lab also provides the opportunity for the students to identify the Micro-organism and practicing infection control methods. The Nursing Students are utilizing the Pre clinical Science laboratory (Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Pathology) from our own parental Medical College &Hospital. The student witness the dissection of human cadaver, learn various specimens, skeleton, disarticulated bones etc. The students learn how to handle microscope and see the morphology of microbial pathogens
